Haunted Doll Symposium
Welcome to the FIRST EVER annual Haunted Doll Symposium!
About This Event:
This is a symposium all about Haunted Dolls! Listen to talks and discussions on what constitutes a Haunted Doll, the history of Haunted Dolls, how to build a relationship with and care for your Haunted Doll, how to include them in your magickal practices, and so much more!

Bring your Haunted Doll if you have one! Even better, dress in matching outfits with your doll to participate in our doll twinning competition for a prize! We will have several options for spirit communication equipment to use with your dolls and each attendee that brings a doll will get a box for other attendees to leave notes about any messages they received from your doll.
​
This event will also include aura photos of your doll, a haunting selfie area to take your own photos with your dolls, themed food, refreshments, music, and decor in the already magickal setting of Through The Veil!

And if that wasn't enough every attendee will also be receiving a Haunted Doll related swag bag and a commemorative enamel pin to show you were at the very first Haunted Doll Symposium!

Don't have a doll or wish to add to your collection? We will have some dolls available for adoption along with books, and other merchandise related to working with haunted dolls. There will be a few local artists vending and a couple of tarot readers you can book 15 minute sessions with.

Due to the nature of the discussions and stories being shared this event is only for those ages 18 and up.
​
Attendees will need to be able to go up a flight of stairs as the majority of this event will be held on the 2nd floor.

Access to vendors and tarot readers. - Tarot readings will be 15 minute sessions charged as a separate fee and will need to be booked in person at the event.
What's Included In the Ticket Price:
Take a seat at Ophelia Darkly's haunted dollhouse for a unique reading unlike any you have encountered before: Doll Tarot! The most curious and mysterious dolls eagerly await your arrival.
Each visitor will be asked to conjure a question and consult with the doll of their choice. The answers will be channeled through Ms. Darkly and offered throughout the session.
Travel through time, memory, or even the veil itself, on an
unexpected journey where all will be revealed.

Ophelia Darkly is a magician, poet, and tarot reader based in a historical doll house of her own in Portland, Oregon. She has been doing her infamous Doll Tarot readings for 10 years; originally as conjoined twins, she has since embarked on a solo adventure reading at The Witches' Ball, Market of The Beast, Faerie Faire, and many other unusual places. She specializes in readings about love, creativity, dreams, the supernatural, and past lives. She and the dolls have guided many people through locked doors and corridors into new realms previously unknown where anything is possible.
Ghost Terrestrea
Oracle Typewriter Poetry is a unique form of divination that uses an antique typewriter to channel unfiltered poetic messages from the beyond into custom works of art. These poems can serve as a memento for your altar, a thoughtful message to reflect on, or a meaningful gift to give to another. It features a tarot reading using multiple unique decks, and results in a custom poem on ornate stationery for you to take home.
Ghost Terrestrea (@ghostofearth) is a typewriter poet, oracle and artist sharing her ethereal gifts through intentional, experiential art. She regularly creates custom poetry for guests at magical events in Portland and beyond.

Creepy Girl Trap PDX is a keeper & maker of haunted dolls, a creepy art studio, metaphysical supplier, & gothic boutique.
They tend to a variety of vintage (and often mischievous) poppets, occasionally giving them new forms and artistic expressions.
They strongly support a wide range of independent artists in their wares and reject AI, Temu, and all counterfeit echoes of art.
